Banquet Success
I am in charge of special events and fund-raising at my church. Comparing myself to your formula, I would give myself a D-. Wow, I had no idea. I would love to get all the information I can to help take my efforts to an A. Thank you for your advise.
This was a G-R-E-A-T. I really learned a lot about how to set your goals. I would like to know where you stand on incorporating a live auction into a banquet. I am a consultant and the Executive Director feels because the live auction raised a lot of money last year, it is essential. I think that it draws from other income.

Great info if we ever have a banquet in our small rural area.
Would actually consider a non-banquet with clever black and white invitations that request one not attend, not purchase expensive gowns or uncomfortable tuxedos, and one not overeat but rather reserve places for 2x$35/plate or 4×435/plate or entire table of 10x$35/plate and not leave the comfort of home or small children to come. Of course this does not mobilize and inspire like a banquet and may not work more than a few times but could work to spread the message.
